Vancouverism: Westcoast Architecture and City-building

Fresh approaches to high-density urban architecture is the theme of a specially commissioned exhibition for the London Festival of Architecture at Canada House. Spanning buildings and Vancouver's stunning urbanism, the exhibition focuses on recent work by architects Bing Thom, James Cheng, engineers Fast + Epp and the dean of Canadian architects, Arthur Erickson.

Alexandria Beck - Amazing Canadian Vocalist
Though Alexandria Beck began her musical career as an instrumentalist, she later studied both at VCC and the University of British Columbia as an opera singer. A multitalented artist she has worked professionally in North America and Europe both as an Opera singer and in the cross over genres of Jazz and pop. Though opera may not be the most accessible of genres people cannot help but be overwhelmed by the majesty, artistry and power that Alexandria possesses.

'Terry Fox at Work' Day
Scheduled for Friday September 12th, the Terry Fox at Work Day is a national fundraising opportunity for workplaces across Canada to hold fundraising events for cancer research. The premiere fundraising event of Terry Fox at Work Day is The Great Canadian Head Shave. All across Canada, people will be losing their locks for cancer research, in workplaces, salons and community head shave locations (more info)
